Like no other...

There is no way to explain the love of a parent for a child. Watching Big Ray cheer for his son, Ray-ray today, is a small example. After a VERY tough Championship match, Ray-ray went off to a corner and was worn out. Coach checked on him, talked with him briefly, then turned to take care of some other matters. (Ray-ray had been battling the 'bug', and had been out sick.) His body seemed to be giving all it had to give for that final match. Big Ray went to check on him, too, and saw that he was struggling with weakness, breathing, and shaking. The real heart of a loving father kicked in. He quickly called coach back; asked for help getting a Trainer; worked to comfort and protect his son. Stephanie's mom, Carla, helped cool him down, and the support system rallied. Maybe it's just the parent in ME, but I felt Big Ray's panic and fear....that feeling moms and dads hate. The unknown. The need for everything to be okay. Thank you, Coach, for taking him aside and making sure HE was all right once Ray was doing better.
